Communications Specialist - Writer Editor - 77114
The Communications Specialist - Writer Editor is responsible for supporting the Consortium's goals by producing high-quality content and written communication assets (e.g. video scripts, pamphlets, webpages, etc.) that are audience-appropriate and aligned with Smarter Balanced's brand, messaging, and communication plan. The incumbent collaborates with teams within Smarter Balanced to identify communication opportunities and support consistent information design and content across a variety of engaging formats. This involves leading and contributing to the editorial and production processes, including sourcing information, writing, proofing for grammar and editing for clarity, and ensuring stringent accessibility requirements are met.

Lead Mathematics Assessment - 76812
This position reports to the Director of Mathematics Assessment. The role of Lead Mathematics Assessment exercises responsibility for creating high-quality accessible and inclusive assessments in grades 3-8 and high school. The incumbent ensures that the Smarter Balanced assessment system addresses the depth and breadth of the member states' standards to meet unique and changing requirements related to the design and development of online assessments; collaborates with psychometricians and other internal teams and provides content guidance on the subject of mathematics.

Senior Director, Product Management - 76799
The Senior Director of Product Management is responsible for identifying, recommending, developing, and maintaining the portfolio of products within the Smarter Balanced assessment system. Management responsibilities include developing the team's long-term vision and goals, policies, and procedures, as well as managing the daily operations involving staff, budget, resources, and multi-year product roadmaps. The incumbent provides technical direction to project teams in building requirements, prioritizing roadmap products, conducting market/competitive research, and facilitating product development life cycle for Smarter Balanced summative, interim, and formative assessments (teacher resources). It is critical and essential that this management position develops relationships and interfaces with Consortium members to establish a deep understanding of member needs and layered user personas to drive customer satisfaction and achieve organizational impact.

The Director of Mathematics assumes responsibility for major components of the mathematics assessment development at Smarter Balanced; guides other assessment designers to ensure that consistency and high quality are aligned to organizational goals; works with technical experts and service providers to ensure the Smarter Balanced assessment system addresses the depth and breadth of the member states' standards in an authentic manner that serves as signals for high-quality instruction; meets unique and often "new" requirements related to online mathematics assessment design and development applying advanced technical skills related to learning management systems, multimedia design, assessment systems, communication tools, streaming media platforms, and multimedia creative applications.

External Affairs Coordinator - 76540
Reporting to the Director of External Affairs, the External Affairs Coordinator is assigned primary responsibility for the general coordination of the unit operations, including agency-wide records management, external communications, and various strategic initiatives.
