Psychometrics & Data Analysis Manager - 29863

Responsible for directing the data analysis and psychometrics unit and the staff and activities related to data analysis, data cleaning, and psychometrics. Establishes operational objectives and work plans and delegates assignments to subordinate managers, and staff. Objectives should be aligned to the Smarter Balanced strategic plan, vetted and reviewed by senior staff, stakeholders, and technical experts to determine priority and likely degree of success and priority. Responsible for preparing and managing the budget for the team. Directs the development of data systems that support the export of item and test information necessary for service providers to administer tests, operational procedures and ad-hoc inquiries.

 

Psychometrician - 28846

The Psychometrician will conduct analyses and provide technical guidance regarding the technical measurement aspects of assessments that are part of the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium. The Psychometrician applies extensive knowledge as a research professional with an in-depth understanding of statistical and/or other analysis techniques designed to support research projects of broad scope and complexity.

Lead ELA Specialist - 28234

Uses advanced technical skills related to learning management systems, multimedia design, assessment systems, communication tools, streaming media platforms, and multimedia creative applications to meet unique and often "new" requirements related to online ELA/literacy assessment design and development. Analysis of project requirements requires in-depth evaluation and understanding of content standards and assessment development best practices, including assessment development that aligns to the organization’s goals on equity and inclusion. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel, and has an exceptional command of communications that represents the organization. Assumes responsibility for major components of the ELA/literacy assessment development at Smarter Balanced.

Serves as analyst for designated web and enterprise-scale applications which may include load balancing, single sign-on, web, and database components. Includes responsibility for application deployment, maintenance, security, and incident-response. Ensures that systems are highly available, secure, and have appropriate capacity.

Executive Assistant (2 positions) - 27284

Under the direction of the executive staff and in compliance with the University's policies and procedures, serve as an Executive Assistant for the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium. Major functions and areas of responsibility include oversight and coordination of operational functions: cultivate effective relationships with service providers and key consortium partners, proof documents and coordinate the development of technical presentations, manage the executives' calendars, travel plans, and travel reimbursements. Coordinate Consortium in-person meetings including managing meeting budgets, procuring venues and tracking reimbursements. Maintain and enhance Key Consortium Documents including Governing Board Procedures, Consortium Vote Records, and Consortium Staff Procedures. Serve as Smarter Balanced coordinator for emergency planning and security matters. Perform special projects or assignments, as needed. Serve as the primary in-person point of contact to other departments.
